Only a quick sortie today, primarily to do some hard exercise up on Tullos Hill with a mind to the forthcoming duathlon. I’m easily distracted though, a glimpse of a jumping porpoise down at the harbour mouth had me haul anchor, and park up for a while eager to use my new 30x zoom capabilities. They proved elusive, splashing about anywhere except where the camera pointed. A ferry left port..
Lots of people on deck also snapping away
The birds were resting up having a blether
Not everybody dislikes a coastal headwind
The brisk wind was creating waves down at Nigg Bay
Rays were shining through gaps in the clouds onto Tullos
After blasting around Tullos Hill, as I crested the brow of the hill I decided to stop 10 minutes and watch the Sun set, creating a gorgeous orange haze on distant hills, and the stark silhouette of Nigg Kirk in the foreground.
